Level
Padel levels explained: the 0–7 scale
What each padel level actually means for your game — and how to read yours honestly.

Most padel apps put a number next to your name. Few explain what it means. Here is the 0–7 scale in plain terms, and how to place yourself without kidding yourself.
What the number measures
Your level is a shorthand for how reliably you control the ball under pressure — not how hard you hit it. A player who keeps three balls in play beats a player who hits one winner and two into the net.
The bands
- 0–1 — New. You are learning the walls, the serve, and where to stand.
- 2–3 — Improver. Rallies hold. You can lob, and you are starting to use the back glass on purpose.
- 3–4 — Intermediate. Consistent bandeja, deliberate positioning, you punish loose balls.
- 5–6 — Advanced. Víbora and smashes by choice, you read the point two shots ahead.
- 6–7 — Elite / competitive. Tournament-grade. If you are here, you already know it.
How to place yourself
Be honest about your worst shot, not your best. Your level is the floor you play from on an average day — that is the number that makes matches feel even.
